OUR ORGANISATION
Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) has more than 40,000 students and over 4,000 employees at 11 institutes and 15 locations in Rotterdam. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) offers the following English taught programs: 1 Bachelor program with various profiles: International Business, and 6 Master programs: Master in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship, Master in International Supply Chain Management, part-time Master in International Supply Chain Management, Master in Shipping & Transport, part-time Master in Shipping & Transport and a Master in River Delta Development.
The Centre of International Affairs is looking to recruit a new colleague for the position of:
Responsibilities:
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The Admissions officer will carry out the following tasks:
- Processing applications of international bachelor and master students
- Checking eligibility by assessing the level of foreign diplomas
- Communicating with (prospective) international students and agents via e-mail and in person
- Compiling student files
- Monitoring students’ application status
- Maintaining a good relationship with internal (e.g. program coordinators) and external stakeholders (e.g. Nuffic)
- Attending open days
IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT THE DUTIES EFFECTIVELY, THE PERSON APPOINTED IS REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are proficient in the English language.
- You are patient, customer oriented and friendly; you have a helpful attitude and are able to communicate with students and colleagues from different backgrounds.
- You are accurate, proactive and you show initiative; you take on new challenges and can work independently. You have problem solving and organizational skills.
- You are able to work under pressure with deadlines during high-peak periods.
- You are accurate and conscientious and have experience in administrative processes.
- You are a team player and have networking and inter-cultural skills.
- Work experience in an international environment is an advantage.
