Description:
We are looking for an organised individual, who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our admin team within the Adult Weight Management Service. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly and innovative service that prides itself on high quality care and positive patient and staff experience.
This role is Part time 32 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The main duties of this role involve co-ordinating the administration of the specialist weight management service. Handling calls and answering queries from patients, carers and referrers. Receiving referrals, booking appointments and group programmes. Supporting the multi disciplinary team by preparing the appropriate resources required for groups and appointments. The service uses SystmOne, for the electronic patient record. Training and support will be provided if needed.

To co-ordinate the Adult Weight Management referral systems in North Tyneside, including the day to day administration of receiving and registering referrals, booking appointments and group programmes, using SystmOne, electronic patient record.
To deal with queries from referrals and General Practice.
To contact individuals by letter, telephone, or email to provide service information, confirm individuals are ready to embark on a lifestyle change, negotiating and arranging appropriate appointments, following up non attendees by phone and/ or letter.
To prepare the appropriate resources for appointments and groups.
To undertake the day to day information collection, collation and dissemination processes as required for individual and service monitoring.
