QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related fields
- Minimum 5 years experience in software engineering or software architecture within a financial institution across various business domains development
- Extensive experience in AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language)
- Must have experience in MIDAS (midas plus, fusion midas, bank fusion)
- Experience in API definition/JMS/SOAP/MQ support or development
- Support experience in IBM i / iSeries / AS/400 RPG
- JAVA knowledge in AS400 QRY
- SQL scripting experience with agile methodologies (scrum)
- Solid understanding of SDLC knowledge in either Wealth Management front office
- Nice to have Core Banking settlement processes knowledge in Securities functionality (Settlement, Asset transfer)
- Nice to have experience in Unix environments and Web (Apache Tomcat, WebSphere)
- Skilled in creating diagrams to lay down ideas and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Has high level on quality standards good documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing COBOL Developing, Designing, Coding, and Testing changes to enterprise software applications
- Test COBOL programs for errors and fix the faulty lines of computer code responsible
- Use code libraries, which are collections of independent lines of code, to simplify the writing
- Responsible for technical analysis and design, code and testing coordination
- Document systems and programs enhanced, developed and implemented
- Gathering and documenting system requirements
- Fine-tuning DB2 SQL queries
- Defining coding standards to ensure code integrity
- Utilize modular architectures, next-generation integration techniques and a cloud-first, mobile-first mindset to provide vision to Application Development Teams
- Work with an Agile mindset to create value across projects of multiple scopes and scale
