WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL YOU GET?

By the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain:

• Level 3 Maritime Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship Certificate
• Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
• Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (If not previously achieved

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subjec

During the Maritime Electrical Fitter Advanced Apprenticeship, you will develop a range of different engineering skills and underpinning knowledge to successfully complete this apprenticeship. Throughout your Apprenticeship you will gain valuable experience working on maritime vessels which will culminate in you completing your End Point Assessment.
The Maritime Electrical Fitter Apprenticeship has a typical duration of 48 months, the first year of which, is spent in our Skills and Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. During the first 12 months of your programme you will undertake a range of practical engineering activities that are supported by our dedicated Engineering Skills Coaches.
The Electrical Fitter must comply with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements and you will be trusted to work both independently and as part of a team. On completion of the Apprenticeship you will be able to work with minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work that you undertake and will be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas to improve business processes.
