SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology (OSD ManTech) Program office within the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Program Strategist. OSD ManTech seeks to further the national security of the United States by furthering advanced manufacturing technologies and processes through joint, interagency, and public-private collaborations.
The Advanced Manufacturing Program Strategist will support OSD ManTech in the following ways:
- Identify, evaluate, and propose original and practicable methods of resolving complex problems for the OSD ManTech Director and Technology Industrial Innovation Base Director.
- Lead planning, coordination, and writing for key program documents including strategic plans, roadmaps, and policy guidebooks. Prepare Congressional reports and briefings as needed.
- Liaison with joint and interagency officials in senior leader working groups and committees.
- Provide guidance and advice to Federal program managers on foreign engagement.
- Upon request, aid in program management activities including representing OSD ManTech on project selection committees.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems across the Government, industry, and/or academia.
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Widely considered expert in a broad scope of applications and uses of analytic methods, such as requirements analysis, system and subsystem definition, program and process analysis, policy analysis, risk analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and planning.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; experience in packaging analytic results in report format as well as in development and presentation of oral briefings.
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum SECRET clearance.
