RESPONSIBILITIES
Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with experience in Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery and/or management of congenital cardiac patients to join our surgical APP team. Incoming APP will be involved with congenital CV surgical cases as part of a highly-specialized team in the inpatient and outpatient settings. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the care and medical decision making for preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative patients at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent Indianapolis and the Children’s Heart Center.
- Fulfill the role of surgical first assistant for pediatric congenital cardiac cases.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the cardiac care unit.
- Order, perform, and interpret imaging, data, and labs.
- Perform procedures, such as temporary pacing wire and chest tube removal.
- Navigate and create records in the patient chart using the Sunrise Clinical Manager and AthenaHealth EMR systems.
