All laboratories within the network are extremely well equipped with modern ‘state of the art’ analysers linked to a central computer system. Equipment and operating procedures are common to all laboratories ensuring that Path Links provides a standardised and seamless service to all service users irrespective of which laboratory they use.
As a network, we are constantly looking to develop the service. This allows for opportunities to develop new methods and procedures to benefit the patient pathway.

We are committed to personal and professional development. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is encouraged.
Biomedical scientists carry out a range of laboratory and scientific tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the laboratory manager by coordinating the day to day activities of the department and staff. They will also act as deputy in his/her absence.
Having significant discretion within existing policies and procedures the post holder will contribute to the technical work of the department; oversee the day to day running of the department and ensure the delivery of a quality service.
You will be required to have good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Previous experience of staff training is desirable as is experience of UKAS ISO: 15189. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently.
