For our German site in Wesseling near Cologne we are looking for a
Advanced Process Control Engineer / Technologist (m/f/d)
The purpose of the job is to act as support for our monomer and utilities operations for all types of process controls, APC and data analysis tasks related topics. It is also part of our internal development program to train young engineers for future task in our company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master in Chemical- or Process Engineering, Process Controls Engineering or similar
- Knowledge in process simulations, e.g. Aspen or Hysys, is benefitial
- Knowledge in data analysis tools, e.g for statistic tools, is benefitial
- Very good analytical skills
- Very good communication and networking skills
- Language: German, English
Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting in the daily business of operations units concerning process controls and APC
- Monitoring and improvement of energy efficiency of operations units, especially maintenance of energy monitoring systems
- Support and execution of concept and feasibility studies inhouse or in cooperation with external contractors for DCS and APC systems
- Support project teams during Basic and Detail Engineering with external contractors for DCS and APC systems
- Support during Process Hazardous Analysis (PHA) for operations units with special attention to SIL / IPL implementation
- Optimization of operations units with regard to capacity and energy efficiency
- Improve reliability and ensure sustainable operation of DCS and APC systems
- Support of different types of digitalization projects and initiatives
- Contribution to technical networks with local and international participants to help sharing experiences all over the company
- Simulation and modelling of processes with different simulation tools
