Responsibilities:

ROLE:

We are seeking a talented Advanced Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management team. We are looking for someone with strong program management skills and exceptional attention to detail. This role will report to the Procurement Manager and will be integral to achieving CIT’s goals for successful new project introductions (NPI).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Advanced Procurement Specialist focuses on ensuring consistent material readiness at project level under CIT’s NPI (new project introduction) model. Ensure selecting suppliers by strategic sourcing specialist that enable meeting or exceeding NPI’s project objectives such as project budget, timeline milestones, quality, engineering/technical, commercial, capacity, and capability requirements. The role requires excellent collaboration, organization, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and delivering in a fast-paced project and work culture. Understanding and alignment to commodity-specific sourcing strategies. Interpersonal and problem-solving skills commonly used to gather information from different departments to conduct the work required.

  • In collaboration and supported by other SCM department functional areas (i.e., strategic sourcing, sustaining procurement, etc.) select and communicate the suppliers, for entire BOM, NPI’s project specific.
  • Actively engage and support NPI project-specific core-team activities (strong cross-functional alignment and collaboration). Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and priorities is a core skill.
  • Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Develop SME (subject matter expertise) in CoolIT’s finished goods, customers, and project-specific requirements.
  • Understanding and alignment to commodity-specific approved strategies. At NPI project-level advocates, aligns, and reinforces CIT’s “in region for region” goals and objectives.
  • Create and manage POs (e.g., material, tooling, NRE, etc.) supporting the various project-specific phases (i.e., EVT, DVT, and PVT).
  • Active participant in the Supplier Performance Management process including supplier scorecards, cost of poor performance, cost recovery activities.
