As an Advanced Staff Engineer, you will have a high potential to become a future leader in composites and Open Fan architecture design. Activities include supporting and contributing to the design and development of the RISE Open Fan Program, solutions and systems for polymer composites. This role will impact quality, efficiency and effectiveness of this Fan Advanced Mechanical Design (AMD) Team and will have significant input into the team’s priorities. This role shall be guided by professional practices and policies of GE Aerospace that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment. In this role, you will specifically start out by supporting our Dowty Team on-site in England which includes composite design, test, and manufacturing support. The role may also include system-level work on other areas of the RISE Open Fan demonstrator that the Dowty Team supports. The ability to travel from the on-site location in England to the United States home base in Cincinnati and other test sites in Europe such as Poland will be highly recommended in this role.
