For our project site in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, we are currently looking for an AWP Area Engineer (Advanced Work Packaging Area Engineer) to support our project team for the next two years as of now.
AWP Area Engineer (Advanced Work Packaging Area Engineer)
Heide, Baden-Württemberg, Germany (on site)
This position is responsible for promoting Advanced Work Packaging objectives and procedures and coordinating the activities of personnel. Also performs work requiring sound engineering judgment in the breakdown of large construction projects into smaller, discipline specific, manageable and planned pieces of work for installation by field crews.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years of experience in a supervisory capacity (General Foreman level or above) or Five or more years of experience as a Field Engineer
  • Piping and Mechanical Engineering/Construction experience.
  • Experience with Workface Planning
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, testing requirements and documentation management requirements inclusive of turnover procedures
  • Work permit in Germany
  • German language and English language.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and expedite the removal of construction constraints throughout projects
  • Coordinate with SPC administrators to align automation efforts with AWP requirements
  • Assist Project Controls team to align their data management implementation of AWP
  • Ensure good record keeping in accordance with AWP procedures
  • Work with the group Manager to ensure logs are following AWP reporting requirements
  • Assist in the development of execution sequencing
  • Work with various departments to facilitate the transfer of information
  • Audit Installation Work Packages (IWPs) to ensure that project requirements are met
  • Coordinate with other construction groups on-site to compile work packages
  • Facilitate transparent reporting by compiling status updates from personnel
  • Train group Planners and organizational personnel on Fluor’s AWP policies and procedures
  • Implement project AWP program policies across all targets
  • Work with the Engineering organization to align Construction Work Package (CWP) and IWP sequences
  • Ensure accuracy and availability of data required to build work packages
