Description:
ADVANCEMENT DIRECTOR OVERVIEW:
Nitrogen Network Ministries is a Grand Rapids Michigan based Church Planting Network. We are embarking on a 3 year project to expand our program to Atlanta and North Carolina. We are on a mission to empower churches in their efforts to make disciples and actively engage their communities for Jesus. We use recruiting, assessing, coaching, training, resourcing & Networking (ReACTRN) to fuel a movement of healthy urban church multiplication. The Advancement Director will play a critical role in this initiative, tasked with raising $350,000 annually towards our existing matching fund. As part of a remote team, the Advancement Director will be responsible for cultivating new donor relationships and creating a compelling matching fund campaign to support our mission. The Advancement Director will be a key player in driving the fundraising efforts of Nitrogen Urban Network, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our mission to equip and empower churches in urban ministry.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of generous philanthropy support within the community and among stakeholders.
- Manage and build relationships with constituents to enhance engagement and support.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fund development plan tailored to the organization’s goals.
- Update and implement the major gifts program, including the creation of materials and strategies for effective gift planning.
- Proactively seek and cultivate relationships with individual, community, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Identify and prospect potential major donors to expand the organization’s funding base.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
- Proven track record in securing major gifts and cultivating donor relationships.
- Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems.
- Passion for urban ministry and alignment with the mission of Nitrogen Urban Network.
