Description:

Job Summary:
Provides technical support and training to other processors as well as implementing new technology into a production flow with appropriate quality control procedures. Capable of running any project independently. May be a Group Leader or a Team Leader at various times. Capable of supporting marketing activities such as presenting to clients or providing advice to other groups about processing. Must be capable of handling multiple projects for different clients and being responsible for handling client meetings.

Purpose & Scope:

  • Provide technical guidance, training, and quality control in production workflows.
  • Independently manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and data quality.
  • Serve as the main contact for client meetings and support marketing activities.
  • Lead teams, mentor junior staff, and share knowledge within the group.
  • Oversee technical aspects of production, including test planning and proposals.
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards or incidents.
  • Apply expert knowledge in geophysical processing and subsalt imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, training, and implement new technologies with quality control.
  • Manage and execute projects independently, ensuring adherence to timelines and data quality.
  • Lead or guide teams, mentor junior staff, and share knowledge within the group.
  • Interface with clients, handle meetings, and contribute to project proposals.
  • Support marketing efforts by presenting to clients and advising other groups on processing.
  • Develop test plans, select parameters, and oversee technical aspects of production jobs.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing improvements in processing workflows

Key Requirements:

  • Master’s or higher degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Math or equivalent knowledge level.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in processing or equivalent experience in time and/or depth processing, project management, client interaction and mentoring team members.
  • Experience with elastic FWI and elastic imaging in the US, GOM and/or similar salt basins.
  • Experience with sparse and dense ocean bottom nodes (OBN) processing and imaging.
  • Proven understanding on success criteria of subsalt imaging projects.
  • Experience with UNIX and/or Linux based software packages and workstations.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Percentage of projects completed on or before the deadline.
  • Accuracy and reliability of processed data, measured against client specifications and internal standards.
  • Client feedback scores and repeat business metrics reflecting successful communication and project outcomes.
  • Success in mentoring and developing junior staff, measured by team performance and growth.
  • Number of successful new technologies or process improvements integrated into workflows.
