Description:
As a data governance advisor, you help define and implement data management processes, allowing optimal and secure use of data for the benefit of members and clients, with compliance rules, privacy, privacy policies and security in mind. You assist teams by helping them recognize and manage data as a strategic asset. You help develop data governance practices and integrate them into the teams’ activities. You put forward recommendations about data use and compliance with governance documents that apply to data, based on the teams’ needs and the organization’s objectives. Your projects and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge of your line of work. You provide data governance support to stakeholders. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields to identify needs and present the proposed solutions. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Interact with data producers and users to help them understand how to valorize data for the benefit of members and clients, in keeping with sound data governance
- Provide teams with advice and training on how to apply data management processes and controls properly
- Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools and dashboards
- Help identify the sector’s data governance needs and opportunities
- Work with teams to analyze risks and potential gaps between what is set out in the governance documents and their operational practices
- Implement practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with the governance documents that apply to data
- Help measure and monitor the performance of the standards and the practices in place, including changes in data governance maturity
- Help carry out projects related to the development of data governance

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
