The opportunity
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion group is seeking a passionate and experienced DEI Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, The DEI Advisor will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. In this role you will be responsible for engaging stakeholders, building relationships and driving cultural change in a collaborative team environment.
What You will do
- Support the development and implementation of comprehensive DEI strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and values
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate DEI initiatives into business practices and policies.
- Conduct assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the effectiveness of DEI programs.
- Provide training and resources to employees at all levels to enhance understanding and commitment to DEI principles.
- Foster an inclusive culture by promoting awareness and understanding of diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Serve as a resource for employees, offering guidance and support on DEI-related issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to DEI.
- Report on progress and outcomes of DEI initiatives to stakeholders.
- Provide support and leadership for Employee Inclusion Networks and Inclusion Champion group, including planning and facilitation of key meetings and events
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Committed to building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills to assess data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in DEI roles or similar positions
- Proven understanding and knowledge of DEI concepts and best practices
