Description:

To support our growth, we are seeking an HSE Advisor to join the Ausdrill Drill and Blast team at our Boggabri Coal operations NSW 5/2 roster.
Reporting to the National HSE Manager in WA and site/Area managers the purpose of this role is to provide support and guidance to the Ausdrill Boggabri drilling team in relation to safety and training, ensuring the team maintains high standards across all locations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cert IV in Work Health And Safety, essential
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), essential
  • Operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle (RIIVEH305)
  • 3+ years working experience in a similar role within the mining industry
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current manual C Class drivers’ licence essential
  • HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing, desirable
  • ICAM Lead investigator, desirable
  • A current National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months) or able to obtain one
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field leadership activities in alignment with Ausdrill and client requirements.
  • Liaison with client representatives on safety and training related matters.
  • Engaging with the site leadership team to assist with incident investigations, action development and close out in a timely manner.
  • Coach/support the teams with hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Champion the Critical Risk Management program
  • Delivering effective training and VOC assessments in the field
  • Assist with Fitness for Work testing (BAC, Drug and Hydration Testing)
  • Maintenance of data and records across various internal and client management systems.
  • Develop, review and update site specific HSE manuals, policies, procedures, and management plans.

  • Incident/accident investigation and reviews and facilitating ICAM
