Description:

We are banking at another level.
Choosing BDC as your employer means working in a healthy, inclusive, and skilled workplace that puts forward the best conditions to bring together unique teams where employees are empowered to act. It also means being at the centre of ambitious economic and financial projects to see further and to do things differently, to fuel the success of Canadian entrepreneurs.

Choosing BDC as your employer also means:

  • Flexible and competitive benefits, including an Employee Savings and Investment Plan where BDC matches part of your voluntary contributions, a Defined Benefit Pension Plan, a $750 wellness and health care spending account, to name a few
  • In addition to paid vacation each year, five personal days, sick days as necessary, and our offices are closed from December 25 to January 1
  • A hybrid work model that truly balances work and personal life
  • Opportunities for learning, training and development, and much more…

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director, Learning and Development, the Advisor, Learning and Development will contribute to the delivery of learning and development at BDC and support national projects by collaborating with various stakeholders and business lines.
Drawing on your experience in adult learning and development, you will contribute to the needs analysis, instructional design, production and deployment of innovative learning solutions. You will monitor new trends in learning, particularly technological innovations and working methods, to put them at the service of projects and increase the efficiency of the team.
As part of project management, you will work in collaboration with the team’s Senior Advisors, and you will be responsible for building trusting relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to guide them in identifying content, as well as influencing them in decision-making and prioritizing educational objectives to be achieved, by ensuring integration between them. You may also be asked to make virtual and in-person presentations depending on the project.
As a member of the Human Resources team, you will also contribute to our talent offering and ensure alignment and consistency of all initiatives with other key HR projects, our culture and expected behaviors.
