As we expand our influence within the public sector, we are seeking an Advisor for Local Government who will serve as a vital link between our organization and government entities. This consulting role is ideally suited for a former City Manager or senior municipal leader, leveraging their deep understanding of local government dynamics to oversee our government contracts and manage relationships with City Councils, Mayors, and other government stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Former experience as a City Manager or in a similar senior role within local government is highly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of local government structures, processes, and legislative frameworks.
- Proven experience managing relationships with government officials, including City Councils, Mayors, and public sector stakeholders.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent Aughdem Recruitment effectively in public sector settings.
- Strategic thinker with a consultative approach to addressing government client needs and expectations.
- Ability to interpret and advise on government policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Aughdem Recruitment and local government entities, including City Councils, Mayors, and other key officials.
- Oversee government contracts, ensuring all terms and deliverables are met in alignment with Aughdem Recruitment’s standards and expectations.
- Provide expert guidance on government relations, advising on best practices for navigating municipal structures and processes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with local government leaders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Represent Aughdem Recruitment in meetings with city officials, advocating for our interests and ensuring alignment with government policies and objectives.
- Monitor and report on legislative developments, municipal initiatives, and other government actions that may impact our contracts and operations.
- Offer strategic insights to the Aughdem Recruitment team on public sector trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Facilitate clear and open communication channels between local government entities and Aughdem Recruitment’s internal teams.
- Act as an advisor to the Aughdem team on how to address specific government or municipal client needs, ensuring all engagements align with public sector standards and expectations.
- Support the development of proposals, reports, and presentations to government clients, providing expert input to enhance credibility and relevance.
