Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

On a typical day, you will:

  • Act as an advisor within a close-knit team with a strong client base;
  • Respond to more complex client requests received by an advisor, either by phone or by email;
  • Validate codes, RE TAP, government notices, group insurance rate changes, insurance plan additions, etc.;
  • Plan and organize your work to meet expectations and deadlines;
  • Ensure the resolution and follow-up of cases according to service levels;
  • Collaborate on knowledge sharing within the team;
  • Work in close collaboration with other teams;
  • Act as a resource person during the client retention process;
  • Be involved in different work initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • College diploma in administration, accounting or related field, or other combination of education and experience;
  • 3+ years of payroll experience;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Knowledge of a payroll application (Nethris Internet Suite);
  • Advanced knowledge of the Opera application;
  • Knowledge of various products, solutions and contributions used by clients such as: Group Benefits, CCQ, Report Generator, General Ledger Interface, etc.;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet navigation (asset);
  • Training Understanding the principles of payroll and Mastering Payroll Legislation of Cégep Ahuntsic or Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) S.C.P. Certification.
