Job Description
ServiceNow is seeking a Technical Strategist (TS) to join our Mid-Market Sales Team. As part of our Pre-sales organization, this role focuses on building trust with technical leaders at mid-market customers and prospects by developing cross-functional strategies and solutions. Leveraging technical expertise, real-world experience, and executive engagement skills, the TS will help customers understand the opportunities of the “platform of platforms” vision.
You will act as a technical leader, guiding customers to realize value through best practices and industry standards. Collaborating with customers, partners, and the Mid-Market Sales team, you will create and communicate high-level architectures and strategies to audiences up to the CIO/CTO level. You will articulate the benefits of ServiceNow’s single cloud platform and lead workshops, best practice overviews, and educational sessions.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Engage with technical champions and executives to identify pain points, deliver value, and translate opportunities into ServiceNow solutions
- Help customers, colleagues, and partners understand the power of the Now Platform and future-of-work opportunities
- Lead vision and design sessions to demonstrate how ServiceNow addresses IT Transformation, Digital Products, PaaS, ESM, and industry-specific needs
- Align ServiceNow capabilities with customer business strategies, integrating seamlessly into their technology landscape
- Communicate the ServiceNow architecture’s details and advantages across various audiences and levels
- Apply architecture methods, modeling approaches, and integration patterns effectively
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs
- Mentor Solution Consultants on technical strategies, sharing expertise in architecture and functional areas.
Qualifications
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:
- Passion and energy for building business relationships and is accustomed to driving the simplification of complex concepts into compelling customer proposals
- Drive for results using out-of-the-box innovative thinking together with excellent problem-solving skills
- Willingness to jump-in and roll-up their sleeves alongside customers, colleagues and partners to get things done faster and better.
- 5 or more years of proven success in a pre-sales, customer, or delivery focused role.
- Excellent understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and automation
- Experience and understanding of multiple technical domains - application, data, DevOps, AI/ML, integration, big data, mobility, analytics, etc.
- Intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions
- Experience presenting to Executives, Technical Champions, and other Customer leaders and partners

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $131,925 - $217,725, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
