HSBC Global Private Banking offers suitable clients access to Alternative Investments spanning Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Hedge Funds. This role is to support the HSBC Global Private Banking Alternatives Specialist for the UK and will cover new investment launches and after-sales support to enhance the client journey in Alternative Investments.
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Primarily focus on Private Markets, assisting with new launches for both closed and open-ended Private Equity, Real Assets and Private Credit solutions
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the front office and client experience
- Undertake data collection activity including investment flows, analysis, and market research
- Produce regular investment updates on Private Market investment solutions for the front office, including regular newsletter content and investment solution updates
- Manage Alternatives risks, such as liaising with the Legal and Compliance teams on various aspects of Alternatives, such as maintaining the NMPI Log
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- A background within investment management either through completing relevant qualifications such as CFA or CISI or through equivalent professional experience - essential
- Experience either within Private Banking (preferred), Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Investment Banking - essential
- An ability to communicate and liaise credibly with the UK front office across UHNW, International and HNW teams as well as HSBC Global Private Banking and HSBC Alternatives (part of HSBC Asset Management) teams
- Organisation skills to balance various tasks with wide remit. Fully literate with MS Office including Excel.
- A demonstrable knowledge of Alternative Investments and the role Alternative Investments play in client portfolios including current trends is essential. An eagerness to learn in an evolving investment landscape, and a Market/Sales focused mindset.
- A motivated self-starter who can take ownership of various projects and tasks.
This role is based in London.
