Description:

The DSEC Site Manager will be based on the construction site. He will identify a member of the DSEC Site Staff who will replace him when he is on leave.

He will be required to perform the following duties on the project (not limitative):

  • To be the main contact person for communication with all persons and companies intervening in the Site, including the Client and/or its consultant(s).
  • To guide all Contractors and co-ordinate all site activities (construction and commissioning) of all the present trades and disciplines to ensure all site operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction schedule, the drawings, the quality standards, cost controlled and within the safety standards required by the Project Contract. If necessary, he will instruct the trade contractor to adjust his plant and/or labour provisions to meet the indicated targets and milestones.
  • To establish and update the detailed execution schedule, based upon the project general time schedule.
  • Provide the appropriate information concerning any potential additional requirements and handling any problem which may arise.
  • To ensure together with the site HSE Manager that HSE requirements are always adhered to in accordance with the established company procedures and HSE legislation.
  • To ensure together with all supervisors that the Project Quality requirements are always adhered to in accordance with established company procedures as well as the provisions of the Project Design Basis.
  • To lead the weekly DSEC coordination meetings, the weekly contractor meetings and the weekly coordination meetings
  • To issue the monthly Construction Site Progress Report according the DSEC template.
  • Responsible of the “all aspect” management of the DSEC Team on site.
  • Responsible of the proper Management of the Construction Site.
  • Approve, in coordination with the Project Manager and/or the Technical Manager, any action leading to a change of technical concept or scope with a financial impact.
  • Allowed to counter-sign the Site Orders issued by the Construction site Procurement Officer according to the Procurement procedure defined in QMS.

Required professional knowledge of :

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel

  • Expérience with server based document control programs (eg. M-files)

Languages :

  • English : professional knowledge reading – writing – speaking
  • Dutch : professional knowledge reading – writing – speaking
