Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Keysight’s Aerospace & Defense Custom Solutions (ADCS) group you will work as part of a highly talented and passionate multi-discipline team that develops and delivers world class custom test solutions. You will utilize your technical expertise, innate curiosity and creativity to gain a deep understanding of customer needs, map out customer requirements and propose solutions. You will architect, design and develop solutions prior to delivery.
You will ultimately be responsible for the mechanical design aspects of complex test systems & fixtures. Typically, this includes close collaboration with Systems Engineers & PCB/A designers to incorporate custom electronics & specialized connectivity, as well as working with suppliers to select appropriate materials & manufacturing processes.
Our solutions interface to and make complex measurements on customer devices (such as radar and satellite systems and subassemblies), leveraging the latest test equipment from Keysight and 3rd parties. You will contribute throughout the project lifecycle; from proposal to acceptance and you will frequently and directly collaborate with customers at a technical level.
ADCS Edinburgh exists primarily to serve European customers. We operate as part of a worldwide team headquartered in Loveland, Colorado. We work with customers on a wide variety of technologies primarily in the radar and satellite domains. We collaborate with Keysight’s solutions, sales and services teams to provide differentiated solutions that fit our customers’ unique needs.
Qualifications:

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD tools; e.g. Siemens NX (preferred) & Creo Direct Modeling (legacy)
  • Working knowledge of electronics PCB/A realization processes
