Description:
Enable Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and production engineering aspects of component and assembly manufacture for uncrewed air systems. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in the aerospace industry, with a solid background in component manufacture, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and configuration management of designs. International experience, particularly in the space industry, is highly desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in aerospace engineering, focusing on design and production.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including Inventor, SolidWorks, and CATIA.
- Hands-on experience in component manufacture and CAM.
- Strong experience in the aerospace industry, with space industry experience being a significant advantage.
- International project experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in configuration management of designs.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Address the design and production engineering aspects of component and assembly manufacture on uncrewed systems.
- Utilize advanced CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA) for detailed design and modelling.
- Collaborate with machine shop teams to ensure precise fabrication of components.
- Lead projects from initial concept through to hardware implementation, ensuring seamless integration of design and production.
- Apply aerospace engineering principles to optimize design and manufacturing processes.
- Manage CAM processes and ensure effective configuration management of designs.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to space systems development, leveraging international experience where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the manufacturing and testing processes.
· Willingness and ability to travel within Australia at short notice to support project requirements.
