Description:
ST HILDA’S SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL FOR GIRLS FROM RISING 3 TO 11 YEARS. ALTHOUGH A GIRLS’ SCHOOL, ST HILDA’S DOES TAKE BOYS INTO THE NURSERY SETTING.
Set in an extended Victorian building oozing with character, it still feels like a home and it’s a lovely place to work. We’re very proud of our children and our School.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and creative individual to assist in the running of our after-school provision in the Key stages 1 & 2 years (5-11 years old). Two assistants work within ratio to offer the children a safe and nurturing environment to eat, play and socialise between the hours of 3:30pm and 5:30pm. A second after school club is run for the younger children from Prenursery to Reception and breakfast clubs for both age ranges. There may be opportunities to cover these other sessions with the appropriate qualifications.
Currently this role is on offer for Monday - Friday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm. 34 weeks plus 5.6 weeks holiday. The role is for 0.4 FTE, for the 5 afternoons.

QUALIFICATIONS
- NVQ Level 2 (working towards Level 3) or equivalent in Childcare
- Experience in supervising children in an educational or recreational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and safe activities for children
- Knowledge of child development principles
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Teaching experience or relevant educational background is a plus
