QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years in product management roles, preferably within the heavy equipment or automotive industry or related field.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of undercarriage components and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in product strategy development, market analysis, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Passion for innovation and driving continuous improvement in product offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for the undercarriage product line, tools and program; aligning with overall company goals and market demands.
  • Product Support: Manage all UC parts related information and ensure accuracy and completeness of product attributes and hierarchical structure in Komatsu’s PIM system.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and marketshare. Use insights to drive innovation, product development and marketing campaigns.
  • Product Planning and Road mapping: Create product roadmaps outlining key milestones, features, and enhancements. Prioritize initiatives based on market impact, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering for new product needs; parts operations for inventory planning and positioning; Sales for targeted opportunities and training needs; and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives and promotions.
  • Product Launch and Marketing Support: Work with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and sales collateral. Support product launches with effective communication and training materials.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance, market share, and customer satisfaction. Continuously monitor metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and profitability.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for Dealer inquiries, feedback, and support related to the undercarriage product line. Build strong relationships with key customers and gather insights to inform product enhancements.
  • Support other strategic initiatives of the Parts Marketing department as necessary.
