How you will make contributions that matter
An opportunity currently exists for an Agronomist/Senior Agronomist to join our team in Rochester. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and fostering strong relationships with a targeted portfolio of existing and new clients, providing sound market and technical advice whilst promoting sales, innovations and service solutions.

Key elements of your role will include:

  • Meeting with new and existing clients to determine agronomy needs and creating solutions
  • Providing sound and credible technical advice in line with the production targets and business goals of the client, considering all aspect of their farming operation
  • Developing new client prospects within an assigned territory
  • Keeping up to date with agronomic products, trends and services
  • Undertaking training on new technology and industry developments

You’ll spend the majority of your time out with clients and will become the face of our business as we develop into new market segments.
About you

As an experienced Agronomist/Senior Agronomist you will enjoy providing technical expertise and building meaningful relationships with people across the community. You will also possess the following:

  • Diploma/Bachelor of Agronomy, Agricultural Science or similar
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the agricultural retail industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong customer focused relationships
  • Ambition to exceed sales goals and contribute to continuous improvement

Whilst the opportunity is for an experienced Agronomist, applications from recent (or final year) graduates will also be considered.
