KEY SKILLS:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Experience working as a Scrum Master in an Agile scrum environment.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst and writing requirements.
- Familiarity working with continuous delivery.
- Experience documenting functional and non-functional requirements and data mapping.
- Ability to work closely and collaborate with key stakeholders, technical and business SMEs.
- Expertise in software development, online design and usability principles.
- Experience working across large programs of work containing multiple projects.
- Excellent knowledge of other relevant SDLC methodologies
- A background in highly regulated industries such as financial services / health insurance would be advantageous.
- Experience with Slack, Jira, Miro and MS Office toolset.
Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE:
The role of the Agile Business Analyst / Scrum Master is to ensure the effective use of Agile delivery methods, tools and process to ensure iterative improvements and value driven software creation. The role will be an advocate for continuous improvement and change through the adoption of Agile methodology.
This role will support and facilitate the various Agile scrum events such as Stand ups, Inceptions, Estimations, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives. The role will also support agile scrum teams in understanding requirements so they can deliver on their commitments, from inception through to implementation of new digital features / enhancements while adhering to Agile principles.
Please note this is a 6-month day rate contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guiding the Digital Team and its stakeholders to use Agile/Scrum practice.
- Take part in the ideation and inception phases and identify and elaborate stories, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements.
- Owns the process of sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
- Applies agile analysis and facilitates ongoing discussion between product managers and development team to enable consensus on epics, user story scope and acceptance criteria.
- Consults and collaborates with a variety of internal business and technical stakeholders to better understand business and functional requirements.
- Ensures business requirements are captured for new and enhanced digital features and facilitates discussions of the requirements through design, build, testing & deployment.
- Translates customer and business needs into technical language for the development team.
- Assists the Product Manager to define the business value and outcomes.
- Supports and educates the Digital team and digital stakeholders with maintaining the product backlog.
- Drive the team to focus on sprint objectives, understanding of requirements at low levels of detail, and brings the team together to deliver an acceptable outcome.
- Assists and guides the team on how to remove impediments that block user stories being completed during sprint cycles.
- Providing support to the squad using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.
