Description:

DESCRIPTION:

The Agile Coach role will be embedded within the service transformation team to support the transition from traditional project management to an Agile, product-oriented mindset. The coach will work closely with all team members, including the Portfolio Manager, Product Managers (Senior Business Consultants), Business Analysts, and project support roles, to foster an Agile culture, implement best practices, and ensure successful adoption of Agile methodologies across product teams.

GENERAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience with Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology and ability to educate others
  • Experience managing the relationships between the methodology team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution
  • Experience leading the methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework
  • Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
  • Experience supporting the product owner and providing education where needed
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH AGILE INFORMATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (I&IT) METHODS AND TECHNIQUES, IN PARTICULAR IN LARGE ORGANIZATIONS: 50%

  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management
  • Experience leading the Agile methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework

KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPERIENCE IN EDUCATING OTHERS IN AGILE METHODOLOGY: 25%

  • Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
  • Experience capturing feedback and documenting sprint reviews to administer project goals and improve team performance
  • Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology and ability to educate others

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Agile Coach will serve as a guide and mentor, helping the team embrace Agile principles, particularly in the development and delivery of high-quality products and services for the Vital Events portfolio. The coach will focus on improving team collaboration, efficiency, and responsiveness to change, helping transition the team from a project-based mindset to a product-oriented, iterative development approach. The coach will work with both leadership and team members to help implement Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum or Kanban), establish clear processes for backlog management, user story creation, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Additionally, the coach will focus on instilling a culture of continuous improvement and alignment with user-centric product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on Agile project methods.
  • Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance to guidelines.
  • Acquires, customizes, documents, integrates, communicates and implements comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.
