Description:

Based at our Brindley Park feedlot, the role of Agricultural Technician works within a team environment and enjoys loads of variety in being responsible for ensuring the health, nutrition and welfare of our animals at all times.

You’ll be rewarded with annual base income from $74,000 to $79,000 (plus superannuation) along with ongoing training and development. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Receival and induction of all animals into feedlot
  • Monitoring of animal health
  • Ensuring adequate and correct rations are supplied to animals
  • Accurate recording and data capture relating to animal movements, treatment and processes
  • Administering of medication to sick animals, when necessary, in consultation with Veterinary staff
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance of equipment as required including the use of grinder, welder, and other power tools
  • Operate heavy machinery as required including but not limited to Front End loader, Feed Truck, Skid steer
  • Safely and effectively undertake pen riding on (horseback)
  • Delivery of feed to animals using modern machinery, ensuring correct feed allocated to animals to create desired finishing results.
