WHO YOU ARE:
You are looking for a career in Agro Sales & Marketing and:
- You have a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture Business or something related
- 3 + years Prior sales experience or other direct sales experience
- 3 + years farming/agriculture related experience
- An ability to thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn, work independently, and take initiative
- Knowledge and experience in petroleum, crop input and equipment sales
- Ability to maintain and grow an extensive customer contact program with current and prospective customers
- Must possess and maintain class 5 driver’s license and have the availability to be on call with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
This role will require the use of various computer programs and phone applications, as well as the heavy lifting of products.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for all the following (and other duties as required);
- Maintain and grow customer base.
- Call-on and develop new potential customers.
- Provide agronomic information and advice on seed, pest identification, crop protection, and crop nutrient/fertilizer so Co-op customers can make informed decisions based on report findings
- Manage routine farm customer service responsibilities, including field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations (working with our team of Agronomists)
- Ensure customers are well informed on our portfolio of crop inputs, equipment & petroleum and lube products that may suit their farm business needs
- Responsible to maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and trends
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Achieve and maintain sales, margins, and inventory targets for existing customers and expand sales to new customers
