WHO YOU ARE:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:
- Degree in Agriculture
- Candidates should be registered, or eligible for registration, with the respective provincial Professional Institute of Agrology
- 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience
- Co-operative retail experience is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a highly motivated team
- Must be creative and resourceful
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written
- Hold a valid Driver’s License
- P. Ag designation is required
- A Certified Crop Advisor designation is required

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support and advice on agronomy, including seed, pest control, crop protection, and fertilization to help local customers make informed decisions.
- Handle complex customer service tasks like field scouting, troubleshooting, and planning to ensure successful crop management.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and share relevant information with others to keep everyone informed.
- Mentor and support team members, offering feedback and guidance while also ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with management to manage inventory effectively and support the Ag location’s operations.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors to address complex needs and ensure smooth transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation and achieving financial goals, lead field tours and informational meetings, and collaborate with suppliers to secure products for the selling season.
- Act as a liaison between customers and suppliers.
