Description:
North Corridor Co-op invites applications for the position of Agronomist to join our team on a full-time basis at our location in Thorhild, AB. Reporting to the Agro Manager. Substance testing and a clean drivers abstract is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Agro Manager, the Sales Agronomist provides expert advice and strategic agricultural insight to develop ongoing profitable relationships with local producers. The Sales Agronomist is knowledgeable in crop inputs, fertilizer, and farm equipment. This position will focus on customer relations while supporting the overall growth, sales, and profitability of the site. Additional responsibilities include:
- Customer contact to generate leads and create sales
- Understand local producer needs and offer company product and services to optimize agricultural output
- Promote high level customer satisfaction and develop relationships through trust, service, and integrity
- Responsible for managing and tracking inventory and bookings, completing claims and invoices
- Provide on-site farm support and delivery of Co-op products
- Provide information on seed, weed, disease and insect control so customers can make an informed decision,
- Responsible to provide superior service and technical advice to Co-op customers and promote the sales of all Agro product lines especially crop inputs (including petroleum, bins and equipment),
- Develop and administer an aggressive farm contact program with present and prospective customers, promoting the services and product lines available at the Co-op,
- Communicate professionally with suppliers and act as facilitator for the resolution of product complaints,
- Manage all suppliers programming to the benefit of growers and CAC,
- Assure customer satisfaction of products by providing product, agronomy and customer service support,
- Pricing price checks, sales, and inventory management of crop protection products, working with Retail Manager and FCL Crop Supplies Sales Coordinator,
- Be goal oriented seeking both personal and professional development by attending FCL training seminars offered by Crop Supplies, Petroleum and P&C.
- Also attend supplier and research information days/tours where possible.
