We are currently seeking a Summer Agronomy Intern to work and learn with our team of talented Agronomists who serve our customers in West Central Saskatchewan. This position will run from May to August 2025.
The Summer Agronomy Intern role is an intensive and practical role, where you will spend 95% of your time in the field learning applied Precision Agronomy. You will learn many skills, including advanced knowledge of the VR mapping process. If you are looking to gain practical in-field experience, this is the job for you!
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education. Agriculture is preferred, but not required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Duties will require independent work within a team atmosphere.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor setting, along with overtime as needed during peak season.
- Strong communication skills are a must for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
- Performing plant stand counts & VR crop assessments.
- Performing research trial analysis and data collection.
- Participate and help organize Max Ag crop tours, as well as attend industry agronomy and product tours throughout the summer.
- This person will not provide any recommendations to our customers but will work in conjunction with an experienced Agronomist to convey key information from the field in order to help them do so.
