Description:
PRACTICE SUMMARY:
AdventHealth Epilepsy at Orlando is in search of an advanced practice provider to provide care to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate would have experience in the management of epilepsy, neurology, or sleep disorders.
General Summary: The APRN, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
- Performing history, physical examinations as needed and monitors epilepsy patients in the clinic setting.
- Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Providing consistent, high quality patient care with epilepsy team through inpatient and outpatient work.
- Monitors the patient’s course of treatment, medication management, and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
- Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
- Always displaying a caring and professional attitude.
- Independently motivated to pursue personal and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the hospital team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician’s Assistant
- Preference of 1-2 years’ experience as an FNP
