As an AI Engineer (m/f/d) you will play a key role in the commissioning, scaling and deployment of machine learning models and solutions. In close cooperation with our Data Science team, you will contribute your expertise to optimize the entire life cycle.
In addition to our diverse benefits, you can expect an attractive starting salary of between €75,700/year and €91,600/year plus a variable component for a full-time position. The starting salary depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

Where your expertise is needed:

• You will be responsible for independently commissioning machine learning models and solutions.
• Your contribution will be to help optimize the entire life cycle of machine learning models and solutions.
• Ensuring that existing models are up to date, including monitoring model degradation and designing autonomous retraining mechanisms, is one of your core tasks.
• Manipulating and harmonizing data to accelerate the model development process.
• You will be responsible for helping to design an efficient machine learning and microservice architecture.

What brings you to Covestro:

• A university degree (preferably Diploma, Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computational Engineering or related field and several years of experience in the Machine Learning Engineering environment, ideally internationally and with virtual teams, characterizes you.
• Your expertise includes machine learning architectures as well as technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, serverless computing and cloud offerings from leading providers.
• Experience with tools and frameworks such as Kubeflow, Docker, Gitlab CI and edge computing round off your profile.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash etc. are among your strengths.
• You are characterized by an entrepreneurial mindset and the willingness to master a variety of challenges.
• As an open-minded team player with strong communication skills, you have an approachable personality.
• You enjoy working in a fluid, dynamic and fast-changing environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English and a willingness to travel internationally round off your profile.
