AI/MACHINE LEARNING SOFTWARE ENGINEER (MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN THE DMV)

The Role: Tesla Government is looking for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with hands-on, real-world AI/ML experience to join our team. In your role, you’ll help contribute to a software platform which informs important decisions around the world. You’ll use your AI/ML knowledge to help us build out a private cloud-based, general purpose generative-AI service. You’ll implement new features (AI/ML and otherwise) and refine existing features. We’re looking for a generalist who likes learning new technologies. You will get to work on a relatively new project with a modern microservice architecture using a tech stack that includes Java, Python, Typescript, Spring Boot, React, MySQL and AWS. Our agile team has daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint plannings, and weekly deployments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  US Citizen and eligible for a security clearance
• 
  3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• 
  Computer science or related engineering degree from a 4-year university or equivalent work experience
• 
  Experience writing production code in a team setting
• 
  Excellent communication skills
• 
  Experience with AI/ML, natural language processing, deep learning, or computer vision project work.
• 
  Knowledge of Java web development, preferably with Spring Boot, and Python
• 
  Experience working with a modern Javascript framework, preferably React
• 
  Strong command of TypeScript

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Familiarity working in an IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans, and/or Visual Studio Code
• 
  Experience working with AI/ML services in cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure.
• 
  Microservices or SOA experience
• 
  Strong Linux (terminal) skills
• 
  Strong SQL skills
