Description:
Right Now Group are currently looking for an experienced Air Export Clerk to join our Client based in Heathrow.
You will be joining the Export department team for a Global Freight Forwarder focussed on pharmaceutical and general freight movements.
As an Air Export Clerk you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the efficient movement of general shipments by Air. Your expertise will be in managing general cargo and ensuring these are exported in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities of an Air Export Clerk:
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for exporting goods via air, including customs clearance documents, export declarations, bills of lading and AWB’s/HAWB’s.
- Coordinate with airlines, shippers, overseas agents and other transportation providers to book cargo for space on flights, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Provide detailed and profitable quotations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing them with shipment status updates, addressing inquiries and concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the export process.
- Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as operations, warehousing and finance to ensure smooth coordination of export activities and timely processing of shipments.
- Client invoicing.
- Customs entries.
The successful Air Export Clerk:
- Strong knowledge of, and at least 2 years of experience in 360 export operations relating to general freight movements.
- Experience of Boxtop or ASM Sequoia.
- CO AvSec trained (desirable).
- Ability to be part of an on-call rota (1 week in 8), 24/7.
- Excellent commercial awareness.
- Excellent communicator.
- Well organised.

Shift: Monday - Friday Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
