We are recruiting an Air Freight Forwarder with knowledge of Export and preferably Import to join our operations team in Dublin where you will work within our Air freight team to manage day-to-day business cases for export/import shipments, liaise with our clients keeping them updates on the status of their goods, as well as issue and monitor all the relevant transport/clearance documents. Providing a first class customer service experience your role is a highly pivotal position within the business, upholding our exemplary standards and safeguarding the timely export of all air freight.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferably 2+ years Air freight Export or Import experience
  • Great customer service skills
  • High competency in handling Air cargo shipments
  • Knowledge of Customs Procedures
  • Experience in software CARGO Wise and Thyme – IT beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience of Good Distribution Practice GDP , Aviation Cargo Security and Dangerous Goods Preferred

  • Ideally educated to degree level

Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day business cases in the area of air cargo shipments and delivering of shipments in accordance with the procedures for dispatching and delivering
  • Issue and monitor transportation documents, collects documents for dispatching and delivering of shipments
  • Organize the admission of the shipments into the customs warehouse, export customs clearance, loading into the vessel and the dispatching of shipments
  • Maximise profit and minimise costs;; ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against job. Ensure that the credit control policy is maintained at all times.
  • Make rate offers to customers and partners where applicable
  • Interface with customers / agents to take booking; coordinate shipments; troubleshoot issues; and provide updates on service disruptions etc.
  • Communicate with clients on the status of their shipment
  • Use your knowledge and expertise to think outside the box to resolve potential shipment delays
  • Interact with our business partners across the cargo-partner network, agents, shipping carriers and customs bodies
  • Strengthen relationships with existing house accounts
  • Understand customers’ business and strategy and our role with the customer
