APG is the world’s largest and most successful airline representation company, with offices in over 100 countries. We represent over 200 airlines globally and seek an additional Airline Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic US team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 4+ years of sales experience in the airline or travel industry is required.
  • Proven ability to work as a self-starter, managing time and projects independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, consultative selling, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Zoho/Salesforce).
  • Some GDS knowledge (Sabre and Amadeus)
  • Understanding of the travel distribution sales channels
  • Full driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Airline Sales Account Manager will be responsible for proactively managing business relationships with travel companies and strategic partners in the assigned territory. This fast-paced role requires self-motivated professional with strong time management skills, capable of handling assigned projects independently while working collaboratively in a matrixed organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop passenger traffic across all market sectors for airline clients through a focused, segmentation-based sales plan.
  • Build and manage relationships with travel agents, tour wholesalers, and commercial accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and activate new revenue opportunities via existing relationships, cold calling, and proactive negotiation strategies.
  • Account Management:
  • Implement business plans and incentive agreements with key partners.
  • Utilize sales technology (Zoho/Salesforce) and data analysis to create customized solutions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Regularly review account performance, ensure alignment with goals, and manage contracts effectively.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work collaboratively within a matrixed organization, sharing insights and strategies to maximize team and organizational success.
  • Represent APG and airline clients at meetings, trade shows, and events to build brand awareness and strengthen partnerships.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Maintain a strong focus on ROI by managing sales budgets and monitoring performance.
  • Stay agile and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, bringing creativity and energy to business development initiatives.
