POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Airport Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a rental car location within the airport. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Airport Manager will handle customer interactions, vehicle preparation, staff scheduling, and problem resolution while ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent in education, experience, or training).
- Two or more years of operations, sales, customer service, and/or supervisory experience, preferably in the vehicle rental or related industry. Experience requirements may vary based on airport assignment.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- General business knowledge to successfully operate an airport location.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to track and assess operational performance measures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate staff within a team environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational and customer service issues.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Management:
- Supervise and manage customer service activities at the rental counter, ensuring that vehicle rentals are arranged according to established procedures and current rate and discount policies.
- Promote and sell incremental products to customers, ensuring that staff is properly trained and motivated in these sales techniques.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Vehicle Preparation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the cleaning and preparation of returned vehicles to ensure they meet quality assurance standards.
- Monitor productivity and ensure that vehicles are ready for the next rental in a timely manner.
- Staff Management:
- Plan and implement staff scheduling based on business demands and transaction levels.
- Provide training, motivation, and coaching to staff members to enhance performance and customer service skills.
- Address and manage staff performance issues and take corrective action when necessary.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure compliance with all Quality Assurance standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance results to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Customer Shuttle Services:Coordinate the shuttling of customers from rental counters to cars or from cars to the airline terminal to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
