Due to an expanding workload in the UK and overseas, an exciting opportunity has arisen and we are looking to add an airport pavement condition assessment technician to our highly skilled team. The successful candidate will ideally have had some experience working on airports, but this is not an absolute requirement as training will be provided. The role will include some on-site working at airports predominantly within the UK but occasionally overseas as well. Some experience of pavement assessment techniques would also be advantageous but again, extensive training will be provided within our in-house training system.

We are an established company with an excellent reputation in the industry. We pride ourselves on our unique combination of in-house analytical expertise and practical, in-the-field capabilities that enable us to successfully perform many different types of projects and provide practical solutions for a wide array of clients. Xais-PTS Ltd are UKAS accredited and hold ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification. We are also a training provider for Level 3 Diploma NVQ in Laboratory and Associated Activities.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be expected to carry out the following tasks (following a suitable training period):
- Analysis of pavement condition survey data
- Airport visual surveys (on-site)
- Collaborating with colleagues
- Responsible for project delivery
- Occasional liaison with clients
Skills:
The successful candidate should ideally possess the following skills:
- Experience using Office 365 in particularly Excel, Word and Access.
- Knowledge of GIS software systems such as ArcGIS or QGIS
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines
