Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

North Peace Regional Airport has openings for the position Airport Technician 2 (APT2). Reporting to the Manager of Operations and Emergency Services, the successful candidates will become part of the airport maintenance and emergency response team, working on a rotational shift basis to cover the airport’s 24/7 operation. This role is a regular, full-time union position covered by a Collective Agreement. The hourly rate is $41.17.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing maintenance functions on facilities and equipment through scheduled inspection to ensure availability of airport services and facilities.
  • Successfully completing a course of training to obtain and maintain compliance with CARS 303 and 323.
  • Participating fully in the emergency response program for the airport.
  • Operating various pieces of mobile equipment, including heavy machinery.
  • Consistently complying with workplace health and safety practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.
