Responsibilities:
Airport wheelchair dispatchers are responsible for dispatching agents to meet and assist airline passengers with disabilities throughout the airport. Additionally, these agents communicate with airline staff, track passenger records, keep an inventory of equipment and hand out tablets & radios to employees. Other duties include but are not limited to;
- Distributing incoming flight/passenger information to frontline agents & supervisors
- Maintaining lines of communication with frontline agents, leadership, and applicable airline staff though the use of two-way radios
- Recording and maintaining passenger service logs utilizing our dispatch system, AvTech Connect
- Answering inbound telephone calls
- Periodically providing passengers with wheelchair service or other assistance, as needed
