REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of aircraft loading procedures – desirable
  • Knowledge of ramp equipment – desirable
  • Must meet criteria for issue of an Airside Pass (with full 5 year employment/non employment history)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

Responsibilities:

  • Operational duties:
  • Supporting all ramp, sort & warehouse duties as directed.
  • Ensure on-time arrivals and departures of flights and trucks.
  • Acceptance and clearance of inbound/outbound freight.
  • Overseeing the safe loading/unloading of the aircraft in accordance with the Global Aviation Procedures and Standards manual (GSAM).
  • Carry out aircraft arrival and departure procedures.
  • Arranging fuelling & de-icing of aircraft as requested.
  • Checking serviceability of equipment
  • Ensure aircraft and shipment movement visibility is maintained within internal DHL systems (NMIV)
  • Network Control Group (NCG) Duties:
  • Preparing load sheets/load plans for the flights using internal systems (SABLE).
  • Coordinating container allocations to aircraft and trucks.
  • Working with stakeholders:
  • Maintaining clear communication with relevant parties.
  • Liaising with 3rd party Ground Handling Operators.
  • Office-based duties:
  • Coordinating all crew requests as required.
  • Data entry and report writing
  • Restricted Commodities duties:
  • Conducting dangerous good checks and preparing all declarations via RCTS.
  • Compliance:
  • Strict adherence to H&S, GSAM and other authorities’ rules and regulations.
  • Safety:
  • All employees are responsible for their own health, safety, and wellbeing, and for the health & safety of their colleagues who may be affected by their actions or failure to take action.
  • You are expected to report all accidents, near misses and hazards in the workplace.
  • You must follow the relevant safe systems of work and ensure that the correct PPE is always worn
