The Alberta International Offices (AIO) Network and Agency Relations branch (branch) is responsible for ensuring effective management, operations and oversight of the AIO Network. With 16 offices around the world, the AIO network plays a key role in advancing Alberta’s international interests abroad within their respective local markets. The branch has two units: International Operations, and Strategy and Oversight.
Within the Branch, the International Operations Unit is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the development and delivery of functions that enable and support effective and consistent operations of AIOs. This allows the AIOs to fulfill their mandate, to advance Alberta’s international interests within their respective local markets. The scope of work includes ensuring that services such as HR, finance, MOUs/agreements with GAC, all reflect the policies and priorities of the GOA, and unique local office needs.
AIO NETWORK RESOURCING
- Optimize & Organize: Work closely with GAC to manage staffing needs, helping create or adjust positions as required and ensuring efficient invoicing processes.
- Tailor Solutions: Partner with hiring managers to refine job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the unique needs of each AIO.
QUALIFICATIONS
University graduation in a related field plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
