Reporting to the VP, Finance and based in Dublin, Ireland the Alexion Global Productivity Initiatives Lead will lead this team.
Business Transformation
- Identify prioritization, simplification and transformation initiatives for the entire Alexion enterprise
- Drive business transformation projects and initiatives with the end goal of delivering savings, improving quality and ways of working, and making them business as usual
- Lead future of work projects for Alexion
What you’ll do
Leading the Alexion Enterprise Productivity Initiatives Program and team, the Alexion Global Productivity Initiatives Lead is a globally impactful role, where you will initiate, oversee and drive critical transformation initiatives and projects and enable future ways of working for Alexion across R&D, commercial, operations, and enabling functions. In this highly visible role, you will make a broad impact by overseeing Alexion’s global productivity initiatives.
Implementation of Alexion productivity priorities / workstreams
- Alexion-wide transformation initiatives change on a yearly basis. Representative examples would include implementation of new capabilities across the enterprise such as utilization of global business services (GBS), defining and executing location strategies, ensuring innovative and industry leading digital strategy integration into our business productivity initiatives.
- As needed, establish simple processes for implementation, issue resolution, performance tracking, and executive reviews of key cross-company strategic workstreams/initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate implementation of strategic projects. Maintain needed best practices and ways of working. Identify solutions, ensure re-assessment, or recommend stopping programs that are not delivering as expected on an efficiency or quality basis.
- Partner with colleagues in Corporate Affairs and Communications to generate excitement, engagement and understanding across the broader employee base for key change programs.
- Partner with Finance to ensure implementation investments are properly deployed, tracked, and deliver the expected return on investment.
Corporate and healthcare strategic trends and landscape
- Maintain awareness of disruptive industry trends, new business models and other important aspects of how healthcare and the pharma sector is changing, develop recommendations and insights for how Alexion should respond, including digital transformation.
- Bring visibility to key trends to key decisions makers and productivity initiative leads, but also act to promote visibility and awareness across internal social media and communications channels to all employees
- Build a comprehensive set of sources of trend information such as strategy consultants, conferences, authors. Provide quarterly updates and facilitate an annual “deep dive” on industry-disruptive trends
Accelerate the implementation of Alexion productivity and transformation initiatives into existing business processes
- Work with partners in other key Alexion functions such as Finance, HR, R&D, Commercial to identify how to accelerate implementation of key cross-functional transformation priorities into “business as usual” processes such as governance, team processes, scorecard and annual goals process etc.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in a fast-paced high growth environment with expertise in scaling a global business
- Experience in biopharmaceuticals, biotech or med-tech industries
