As an Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Associate within PNC’s Balance Sheet Analytics and Strategy Group, you will focus on Stress Testing Oversight and be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Birmingham, Alabama, Houston, TX, Tyson’s Corner, VA or Cleveland, OH. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
The CCAR/CECL Oversight Team is responsible for providing central program oversight across the capital stress testing (CCAR) and loan loss reserve (CECL) processes. The team coordinates bank-wide CCAR planning and execution, completion of Capital Plan and Board materials, final submission, disclosure, and regulator interaction including issue remediation efforts. The team is also responsible for planning, execution coordination across the bank, and oversight of the quarterly CECL calculation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a team that coordinates and leads PNC efforts relating to the execution of CCAR/DFAST stress tests.
  • Support the firm’s supervisory stress testing efforts and comprehensive capital submissions and help oversee the associated planning, coordination, execution, and documentation activities.
  • Assist with development of executive and board-level materials related to PNC’s stress testing efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to establish expectations and gain alignment on timelines and responsibilities for the annual stress tests, including working with Finance, ALM/Treasury, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and lines of business.
  • Present to senior management.
  • Participate in review of projections for balance sheet, income, losses, and capital across a range of macroeconomic scenarios.
  • Understand and review methodologies and narratives used to develop projections of balance sheet, income, losses, and capital across scenarios.
  • Manage and perform defined procedures, analysis, and project management activities.
  • Review relevant regulations related to stress testing and capital planning.
  • Take ownership in performing ad-hoc projects to continuously improve upon PNC’s stress testing related efforts.

    Job Description
    Leads financial analysis, conducts research and prepares reports. Performs due diligence and statistical analysis related to the balance sheet. Participates in stress testing efforts.
    Based on own discretion, researches and collects information for PNC’s balance sheet.
    Reviews and presents risk analytics/stress testing material including documentation and templates to senior team members for federal submission.
    Reviews and analyzes data for modeling activities. Reconciles and performs quality review of data. May be responsible for model development.
    Partners with lines of business in understanding specific line items of PNC’s balance sheet and income statement.
