The Investments business is one of the key drivers of revenues and profitability at AIG. Our Investments professionals are responsible for investing the insurance premiums and deposits we collect to generate net investment income that is available to pay claims or benefits and provide returns to shareholders. AIG Investments provides advisory and asset management solutions to AIG, its business units and third-party clients, globally, maintaining investment platforms across multiple asset classes. These asset classes include investment grade and high yield corporate debt, sovereign and emerging market debt, municipal debt, securitized products, residential and commercial mortgage loans, private placements, real estate, public equities and private equity. The Investment team is comprised of professionals endeavoring to provide strong returns on our clients’ invested capital. About the role- Middle Office Alternative Investments Analyst

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Reporting directly to the Head of AIG Investment Operations Implementation, the main responsibility of the Middle Office Alternative Investments analyst is to support and act as a primary link between Blackrock, third party managers, local offices, Front Office, Custodians, Outsourced Service Provider, and our clients. The successful candidate will ensure that all reconciliations, reporting requirements, cash management activities and related middle office activities are correctly managed, delivered in a timely manner and reported by our outsourced service providers in accordance with established procedures. The role will also require one to develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including CIOs, BlackRock, technology, compliance, local offices and control partners.
Responsibilities Include
Support build of robust DQA framework for oversight of investment data quality matters in Aladdin environment including security master data, reference data, corporate action data and related elements
Maintenance of control and governance framework to support DQA and QC oversight of investment data.
Identify and escalate QC queries identified through proactive engagement with the Aladdin environment and support of other internally sourced challenges or queries.
Conduct oversight of multiple asset classes e.g. Alternative Investments, Private Equity, Commercial Mortgage Loans & Global Real Estate which have been outsourced to a third-party Service Provider or managed in house by relevant function. This will include daily review of control processes, transactions flows and reconciliations.
Periodic review of KRI and KPI metrics as well as detailed NAV/AUM analysis in accordance with strict oversight guidelines.
Collaborate with Internal Teams and Outsourced Service provider to manage investment cash flows to and from Client accounts in a timely manner.
Act as a single point of contact for all internal stakeholders in respect data quality, data governance and quality control.
Responsible for the timely & accurate distribution of monthly reporting as required by internal / external stakeholders.
Continually review processes to identify areas for increased efficiency and risk reduction.
Support team manager as required, including cross training and ad hoc projects.
