Knowledge/Experience:
- 5-7 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and improving customer relationship, improving profitability of accounts, and handling first line service.
- Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references
- Excellent product and industry knowledge.
- Must be passionate and a self- motivated
- Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics
- Must be able to work within a TEAM concept
- Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
- Excellent sales analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
- Long-term, strategic focus on account
- The position requires the willingness to travel on frequent basis, i.e. on average three – four days per week

Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted partner and advisor as Abbott’s main contact to customers.
- Manage and drive the development of their billing accounts, including key activities such as strategic account management to achieve set targets, have a big focus on territory planning to have regular customer facing sales calls, and prioritize attending to all customer queries promptly . ( eg; logistics , account and product queries )
- Responsible for new product and menu expansion to grow existing business
- Prepare and execute quarterly customer business value reviews
- Manage routine renewals of base business accounts proactively and negotiate long-term contracts.
- Ensure customer contract compliance.
Provide first line application support and technical troubleshooting .
- Perform technical service bulletins (TSBs) where required
- Implement and download new assays on analyser
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to customers
- Work with cross-functional implementation team (post sale) with Project manager to ensure successful customer transition journey
- Success in this role is measured by service level achievement, economic profitability customer satisfaction score {NPS), contract renewal rate and managed revenue
